ABOUT US

Chris and I make up a compact architectural practice with the principals shouldering much of the work load. We each have eclectic occupational backgrounds. My combined qualification in medicine and architecture has slanted the practice portfolio to include about 70% commercial medical work. Chris manages IT systems for several Melbourne-based practices and runs a team of draftsmen from remote locations to document large projects for other architects. 20 year's  in the consulting room has afforded me a clear understanding of practice imperatives, medical language and models of healthcare. I have subsequently spent 3 years at Austin Health as a senior project manager, specializing in construction management for complex, live, clinical environments.

IVA has an established, regular team of Structural and Civil Engineers, Building and Land Surveyors, plus a stable of reliable domestic and commercial contractors. We have extensive construction experience, which helps foster good working relationships with authorities, consultants and contractors alike.

Chris and I have an ongoing relationship with a large architectural firm where we served internship. We have each taken roles for the team at Brand Architects on a number of $5M to $20M projects in the educational sector. IVA has the immediate opportunity to collaborate with Brand for man-power and expertise on larger projects.
